NPL 2024 franchise owners:The eight franchises of cricket teams for the first season of the upcoming Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2024 have been totally owned by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN). The earlier conducted franchise auction was a big hit amongst different, suggesting an increase in interest in cricket in Nepal.

• Base Price: The base price of each franchise was set to NPR 1 crore to encourage qualified bidding among the interested parties.

• Lowest Bid: The Karnali team was bought for NPR 1.11 crore which can be stated to be a low price as compared to other teams.

NPL 2024: Tournament Schedule and Format

NPL 2024: Members played different tournaments, which provided the following schedule and format for the Oakley nationals. Debuting as the premier cricket tournament in Nepal the ‘Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2024 is scheduled to be played from 30th November to 21st December 2024 includes the franchise based Twenty20 entertainment.

The Event will be staged at the home of Nepali cricket – the historic Tribhuvan University (TU) Cricket ground of Kathmandu, which will be a historical reference to Nepals cricketing journey.

Tournament Format Round-Robin Stage: All eight franchises will play against one another in a round robin mechanism contacting each other once.

2. Eliminator – Between the 3rd and 4th placed teams; the winner moves to Qualifier 2.
3. Qualifier 2 – Between the loser of Qualifier 1 and the winner of the Eliminator; the winner progresses to the final.

Grand Final:
The two finalists will compete for the championship on December 21, 2024.

Grand Final: Both teams will fight for the championship title on December 21, 2024. Venue Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kathmandu will be the only venue for the tournament and fans, including Nepal, will be able to watch all matches at one of the country’s premier cricket venues.
