Biratnagar Kings are set to bat first in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket. Janakpur captain Anil Sah won the toss and invited Biratnagar to bat at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.

Janakpur Bolts have started the Nepal Premier League (NPL) with a win by defeating Biratnagar Kings by 8 wickets in their first match thanks to the performances of bowlers Lalit Rajbanshi, Kishore Mahato and Harsh Thakar and a brilliant half-century by Lahiru Milantha.

Janakpur achieved the target of 128 runs set by Biratnagar by scoring 131 runs in 15.3 overs with the help of Milantha’s unbeaten half-century.

Milantha scored an unbeaten 75 runs in 53 balls with the help of 9 fours and 3 sixes. Thakar, who supported him, scored an unbeaten 29 runs in 33 balls with 2 fours. He hit the winning four when the score was tied.

Janakpur had scored 11 runs in the first ball of the first over after Biratnagar’s Chris Soul bowled a wide. However, Soul bowled Asif Sheikh to give Biratnagar a wicket.

Janakpur lost 2 wickets in 15 runs when captain Anil Shah was also dismissed for 5 individual runs. Pratish GC bowled captain Anil. However, Milantha and Harsh Thakar then completed the innings together. The pair shared a century partnership for the third wicket.

Biratnagar’s Chris Soul and Pratish GC took one wicket each.

Earlier, the first four in the NPL was hit by Biratnagar’s Lokesh Bam. However, he was dismissed by Janakpur’s Lalit Rajbanshi, who became the first NPL wicket-taker.
